Michigan reports 660 new coronavirus cases, 7 new deaths Friday

The Michigan health department reported an additional 660 coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 72,502.
In addition, the state reported another seven deaths, which increases Michigan’s death toll to 6,108 since the first deaths were reported in March.
On Thursday, the state conducted 30,547 diagnostic COVID-19 tests. Out of those tests, 958 were positive and 29,589 were negative. As of Thursday, the percentage of positive tests is 3.14%. The state also administered 2,886 serology tests, bringing the total of tests to 33,433.


As of July 10, Michigan stated that 53,867 patients have recovered from the coronavirus. A new recovery count will be available Saturday.
